Pitchfork suggests that Ben has "trademark aquatic ambience and booming low-end” but the truth is that Ben instinctively hones in on the sound each artist he works with needs and knows how to draw it out and that comes from the experience he had writing and playing in bands and then getting his grounding at Daddy’s House in NYC at the height of Bad Boy Records.  What is a fact is that Ben loves a pop melody, understands how to make bands sound great on the dancefloor and how to bake in a bottom end to the most alternative of bands and that blend of programmed and analogue, there’s nobody better.
